Drone Flight and Short-Form Filmmaking

6th - 12th Grade
Meets on campus from 9am to 12pm, July 8-11
Led by Kevin Campbell, a CMU faculty member and Zach Huffman, CMU alumni and Hyvion owner

In this camp collaboration between our Center, CMU faculty member Kevin Campbell, and CMU alum and Hyvion owner Zachary Huffam, students will learn not only safe drone operation including the variables pilots must consider and how they may impact a successful flight but also how drones are used in business. Drones can also be used creatively. Throughout this camp, students will plan, capture drone footage, and produce a short film to share at the end of the final day. Additionally, students will have the option to earn their amateur drone piloting license!. Please keep in mind that student interest in the topic enhances not only their experience, but also that of their fellow campers.

If financial barriers would limit your participation, please email us at cese@cmich.edu to talk about how we can make our programs accessible for you.
