Core Teaching Practice (CTP) summer workshop series

Please join us for a series of workshops this summer where we will work together to investigate how we can use what we know about Core Teaching Practices (CTP), equitable and inclusive teaching practices, and our own teaching experiences to elevate student voice in the classroom.

Each workshop will focus on a core-teaching practice theme in the context of a math and a science activity. You will leave having experiences in all three areas.

June 11th - Setting up and Managing Strengths-based Small Group/Inquiry in math and science

June 25th - Eliciting Student Thinking and Questioning Strategies/Modeling in math and science

July 18th – Making Content Explicit and Justifcation in math and science

All 3 days will meet on campus (room TBD) from 9 AM – 4 PM. Lunch will be provided each day.

A $100 stipend is provided for attendance of each workshop or attend all 3 and receive $400.

The workshops are open to all K-12 teachers and administrators. Please note that content considered will focus on a mid-grade range in math and science.
