Kids and Culture: Upcycled Garden Chimes
Join us for a fun-filled workshop at the makerspace (EHS Rm 134) where you'll create your very own garden windchime using various recycled items such as bottle caps, metal lids, and colorful beads, and more! This hands-on activity is perfect for sparking creativity and promoting sustainable practices as you design and develop a beautiful and functional piece of art for your garden.

Center staff members will offer general instructions, information about tools and materials, and share a few examples as inspiration at 10AM leaving the remaining time available for you to complete your project. Feel free to stay the entire time or take off early if that best meets your needs. We will provide a broad selection of recycled materials and invite you to bring along any recycled items you think might give your garden chime that perfect personal touch!

This event is most appropriate for students from kindergarten through eighth grade, with those in K-4 having an adult present.
