March MicroCamp: Cranky Contraptions

March MicroCamp attendees are invited to design, build, and create a cranky contraption or automata that tells a story, shows a picture, or represents an item. Using cardboard, recycled materials, craft foam, and wire attendees will explore simple machine elements such as cams, levers, and linkages in a fun, engaging way!
Center staff members will facilitate the MicroCamp: Weekend Edition event and will offer instructions, examples, or activities as close to 9AM as possible leaving the remaining time available for individual and groups of makers to use toward completing their project. Feel free to stay the entire time or take off early if that best meets your needs.
The flat rate of $10/participant includes a free adult registration and any materials needed for the project. We ask that students in grades K-4 have an adult attendee present.
