Moving Science: A Multidisciplinary Teaching Workshop

This professional learning workshop is open to K - 5th grade teachers. Registration is free and a $200 stipend is provided.

Inspired by research based on the relationship between brain cognition and human movement, this practical workshop was specifically designed to engage K- 5 teachers in creating lesson plans combining movement activities and varying disciplines. Each participant will have the opportunity to create a lesson plan that weaves together movement activities with a subject already being taught in the classroom.

The workshop is led by two CMU Faculty members: Heather Trommer-Beardslee, MFA who is a faculty member in the Department of Theatre & Dance and Wiline Pangle, PhD who is a lecturer in the Biology Department.
