Arduino Programming
6th - 8th grade Virtual Summer Camp
9-10 AM from July 6th - July 9th
Each camper will need access to a lap top with a USB port. If you do not have one you can request to borrow one from us on the registration page.
Taught by Dr. Brian DeJong, an engineering faculty member at CMU.
Learn basic text programming using Arduino Unos and electronics kits. You will program the Arduinos to listen to sensors and to control motors as you build remote-control laser pointers, auto fans, RFID lockboxes, and AI teddy bears. No prior programming experience is needed; code will be adjustable to all skill levels. By the end of this camp you will understand the Uno hardware, basic text programming, how to control sensors and motors and how to program Uno to control contraptions.
