This professional learning workshop is open to 4th - 9th grade teachers and informal educators. Registration is free and a $500 stipend is provided. The experience has a total value of $2500. It may be helpful (towards implementation of your learning) to register with a colleague.

This Institute is brought to you by the CMU Center for Excellence in STEM Education and the Belle Isle Conservancy education team. You will spend 3 full days (Monday - Wednesday) learning about place-based and project-based (PBL2) education at the Belle Isle Aquarium and the Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservancy in addition to some great outdoor spaces. This Institute will also assist you with the creation of a PBL2 unit and will include experiences with activities from Fast Plants, Project Wild, PBLWorks, and other resources.

Hotel accommodations and most meals are covered after your arrival in Detroit. COVID19 protocols in place.
