Little STEMmers
In this month’s Little STEMmers event we will consider different situations where we may need to reach an item that is stuck, but we cannot touch it! Following a short conversation to explain the activity, participants will be encouraged to leave themselves unmuted and tackle the challenge. As students work, we’ll make observations and ask questions to better understand their problem-solving process and how they work to refine their design along the way! Parents: Set up for this challenge is relatively simple, but will require your assistance.
You have the choice of picking up materials to use when we connect virtually, or review the list and consider what items you would prefer to supply. These are suggested items - variety and substitution may allow for an even greater problem solving for your young maker(s). Little STEMmers is about curiosity, play, and exploration, so stay logged in for as long or as little as you like. We look forward to seeing you and invite you to consider joining us the second Friday of each month!
